Description

Lusscroft Farm welcomes visitors to the Sugar House to learn how maple syrup is made. Ongoing tours by volunteers of how to tap the maple trees, collect the sap, and make the delicious syrup.

Due to the unseasonable weather this winter, and the loss of one of our sugar bushes, production of maple syrup is extremely low. Therefore, purchases during our Maple Sugarin' event on Saturday, March 25th, 10am-3pm, will be limited to one 1/2 pint OR 1 pint per family or business organization. There will be no pre-event sales of syrup at Lusscroft this year. We apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately this is what Mother Nature has provided! Our annual open house will offer tours of the Sugar Bush and demonstrations of all aspects of the maple sugaring process at the Sugar Shack.

Funds raised from the syrup sales support the maple sugaring program and ongoing restoration of Lusscroft. Free admission and free parking. Presented by the Heritage and Agriculture Association, Inc., in cooperation with the NJ Tree Farm Program, the NJ Society of American Foresters, and the NJ DEP/Division of Parks and Forestry.
