Sussex County Libraries Join Forces to Gather Toys for Local Children
Newton, NJ (November 22, 2023) – All of the branches of the Sussex County Library System will be gathering toys for Project Self-Sufficiency’s Season of Hope Toy Drive this year. Area residents are encouraged to bring gift cards or new, unwrapped toys to the Dennis Library in Newton, Dorothy Henry branch in Vernon, the Franklin Branch in Franklin, the Main Branch in Frankford, the Louise Childs branch in Stanhope, or the Sussex Wantage branch in Wantage during operating hours. Toys will be accepted through Thursday, December 14th.
“The Sussex County Library System has always been committed to meeting the needs of our local residents,” remarked Julie Knapp, Public Information Officer for the Sussex County Library System. “We are excited by this opportunity to come together to make an additional positive impact in our community this holiday season.”
“The libraries in Sussex County are true assets to every child and family in our community and we are exceptionally grateful that they will be collecting toys for children in need this year,” commented Deborah Berry-Toon, Executive Director of Project Self-Sufficiency. “Their involvement will bring joy to thousands of families.”
The Season of Hope Toy Drive is coordinated by Project Self-Sufficiency to benefit children and teens in Sussex and Northern Morris and Warren counties. Toys, gift cards and monetary donations will also be gratefully received at Project Self-Sufficiency, 127 Mill Street in Newton, Monday – Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. or Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. To donate online, or for more information, visit www.projectselfsufficiency.org or call 973-940-3500.
