Dream Xtreme Dance by Nikki just celebrated their 10th Anniversary in Franklin, NJ. This past weekend was DXD by Nikki’s recital, I won’t tell you how long it has been since I have been to or been in a recital but I can assure you it has been more than 20 years. I danced for 15 years and watching my three-year-old dance with her friends and the bond she has already developed with these girls moved me to tears. I had amazing dance friends growing up, but I don’t remember having as loving and supportive dance life as I have experienced with my daughter. Nikki and her team have created an incredible studio but even more an amazing family. From the teens who help, teach, and nurture the little ones to the love and support of family and friends. It was so refreshing to see teenagers taking an interest in the younger dancers and encouraging and supporting them, as for many of them it was their first time on stage.
What touched me most of all is how calm Ms. Nikki is, she encourages and nurtures the children’s natural talent. My three-year-old and her friends fearlessly stepped out on stage and danced. The absolute joy on my daughters’ face was priceless. She immediately asked me when she could do it again and she was not the only one, many of the children wanted to do it again or were mad that they were only doing one dance. My daughter’s newfound courage and strength have flowed over into other areas of her life now. Nikki and her staff truly love what they do they want every child to have the opportunity to do what they love. Their love pours over into their students and it is felt by all, it has even made me consider getting back into dance.
Dance is not just about the art it is also about body positivity, confidence, friendships, and health. You can learn a lot about yourself and your body through dance and who could not use a little more family. If you are thinking of enrolling your child in dance, I would recommend giving Dream Xtreme Dance by Nikki a call. Click here to visit her website
