Throughout the month of October, every train at The Delaware River Railroad Excursions is The Great Pumpkin Train!
When riding the Great Pumpkin Train, every child will be able to pick their own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch sits in a beautiful glade in front of the century-old Carpentersville Lime Kilns. The lime kilns are not only the oldest but also the largest left in existence in New Jersey, dating to before the Revolutionary War!
Take a beautiful ride along the river and stick around to enjoy one of the fall favorites including a corn maze and the Ol' Susquehanna Mine.

Tickets and Pricing
Your ticket purchase helps support the Delaware River Railroad Excursions, a non-profit 501 c (3) corporation. Our “living museum” is completely operated by volunteers with the purpose of educating the public about our rich transportation heritage while providing family entertainment.
- Tickets aboard The Great Pumpkin Train cost $18 per adult and $13 per child.
- The Corn Maze and entrance to the Ol' Susquehanna Mine are just $5 each as an add-on to your Great Pumpkin Train ticket.
