Known for its natural beauty and recreational activities, Lake Hopatcong is a community staple that residents (and visitors) enjoy.
What do you love most about the lake? Is it the landscape, the people, or the wildlife? Now's your chance to celebrate everything that makes Lake Hopatcong special through a photo contest by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation. Share up to five of your favorite photo(s) for this year's "Lake Your Best Shot!"
Submissions must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on August 31, 2021.
Entries will be considered in the following categories:
- Water: Above, below, or in between
- Landscape: A sense of place, with or without people.
- People and Nature: People enjoying the outdoors, particularly Lake Hopatcong.
- Wildlife: On the lake, in the wild, or in your backyard.

Each entrant may submit up to five entries via the online form.
Prizes
Winning photographs will be featured on a special Lake Hopatcong Foundation 10th anniversary calendar (2022). Winning photographers will also be invited on an exclusive winners’ photography cruise aboard the LHF Floating Classroom (tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 4).
- Eight winners will be chosen by the Lake Hopatcong Foundation
- Four People’s Choice winners will be selected by the public
