It's no secret... books rock!
Local resident Sara D. Sarka took that literally with her rock painting tribute to Shel Silverstein's classic, " Falling Up" which now resides at Broad Street Book in Branchville.
#Readingrocks have been popping up across Sussex County and Broad Street Books is hoping that YOU will join in on the fun!
How to Participate:
- Paint your own #ReadingRocks and drop them off at Broad Street Books before June 23, 2021.
- One lucky artist will win a $100 gift card to Broad Street Books!
Tips for painting your own reading rocks:
- Pick a book that inspires you.
- Use acrylic craft paints on standard-sized bricks (or larger rectangular stones) to replicate the cover art.
- Seal your artwork with a clear, matte sealer (epoxy resin or spray paint)
- Join the #scnjrocks movement on social media to help spread joy throughout Sussex County.
