June 5th is Free Fishing Day in New Jersey

May 26, 2021

In conjunction with National Fishing and Boating Week, New Jersey is hosting a FREE fishing day on Saturday, June 5th for residents to fish in public waters without a license or trout stamp.

Though youth (ages 16 and under) don't need a license for everyday fishing, New Jersey's free fishing days offer a risk-free introduction to the sport. And who knows... you might just get hooked! For reel! 😉

Save the date! Another free fishing day in New Jersey will happen on October 23, 2021.
