July 26, 2017

Summer Reading Continues at the Sussex County Libraries!

It’s not too late to register for the Build A Better World Summer Reading program at your local Sussex County Library. Now through August 12 kids, teens, tweens and adults can continue to earn raffle tickets for every book read or listened to and enter to win over 180 prizes; a minimum of 30 winners at each Branch!

Reading rewards are just the beginning. Space is still available to register for several summer programs including:

LEGO Game Club now at Franklin Branch every Thursday August 3-24, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Created for kids entering 2nd grade and up, LEGO Games test players’ imagination and building skill. Led by Hardyston Elementary Teacher Holly Romahn.

After Dinner Art at Dennis Branch every Monday August 7-28, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Kids entering Kindergarten and older are invited to Dennis Branch to work on a different art project each week.

Monday Fun Days – Game On! at Main Library every Monday, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
It’s game time and socializing for adults. Scrabble, card games, Rummikub and more; the library supplies the board games, you supply the fun.

Every Day is Earth Day Puppet Show at Louise Childs Branch, August 10, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Miss Tina and her puppet friends present a show about nature, conservancy and recycling. Fun characters and interactive games teach important lessons about sustainability. For children entering Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

This is just a sampling of the many programs being held throughout the summer. For full details, dates, times and registration stop by your local Sussex County Library Branch or check out the Events link at sussexcountylibrary.org.
