Vacation Planning...Florida is Fabulous in the Fall

Florida is Fabulous in the Fall!
Any time is a great time to visit the theme parks of central Florida, and fall is no different. Kids are heading back to school so crowds are lightening (relatively speaking, anyway), weather is becoming slightly less hot and humid, and there are some fabulous fall events happening at both Universal resorts and Walt Disney World resorts.
Do you like to be scared out of your wits? Consider Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando!! Looking for a much more mild, less frightening experience – then Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is for you at Walt Disney World. Kids and adults can dress in costume and go trick or treating around Magic Kingdom – bring a huge bag as there are tons of treats to be had! The “Boo to You” Parade and special fireworks are sure to please, plus the chance to experience rides and attractions with relatively low wait times.

Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival is sure to please the more mature travelers, though there are activities designed to keep the young and young-at-heart engaged as well. This festival features food booths that pop up around World Showcase and extend into Future World; there are also culinary demonstrations and seminars by celebrity chefs! This event runs September 14 – November 14 this year. I had the pleasure of attending this event last year with my husband and it was nothing short of magical.
